As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Article-Research:

  • Articles written for the Jurnal Mengkaji Indonesia include research results in the fields of cultural science, political science, public policy, and legal studies. Manuscripts can be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. The manuscript is typed in Book Antiqua font, size 11pts, with 1,15 spacing, with a total of 3,500-10,000 words (including abstract, article content, and references).
  • The written manuscript sent is an original scientific work that does not contain elements of plagiarism and has never been published.
  • The name of the author of the article is listed without an academic degree and is written in the footnote. The author includes an e-mail address.
  • The title of the article must be specific and straightforward, formulated with a maximum of 15 words, which describes the contents of the article comprehensively.
  • Abstract: written in English. The abstract contains the Purpose; Design/Methodology/Approach; Findings and; Originality/value. The abstract is written in one paragraph between 200-300 words.
  • Keywords: The keywords chosen should reflect the concepts contained in the article. keywords consist of 3-5 terms (horos).
  • Introduction: The introduction contains background problems, previous literature studies as a basis for statements of novel articles, research problems or hypotheses, and research objectives.
  • Method: Contains an explanation of research variables, operational definitions of variables, research design, research subjects, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques.
  • Discussion and Findings: Describe the results of research and discussion supported by appropriate theories, as well as the limitations of research. To clarify the discussion, the author can use tables or images. The table number and title are written in the middle above the table while the number and title of the image are written in the middle below the image.
  • Conclusion: Contains conclusions and recommendations written in one paragraph. The conclusion of the study was based on the discussion and did not repeat the results of the study.
  • References of your manuscript must be up to date (in the last 5 to 10 years and a minimum of 15 references 60% of references are from primary sources/journals) and your reference can be accessed by anyone. Writing a bibliography should use reference manager applications such as Mendeley. The writing style of Jurnal Mengkaji Indonesia uses the format of the Turabian 9th edition (author-date).
