Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis normatif dan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui kajian kepustakaan dan analisis terhadap peraturan-undangan serta putusan pengadilan yang berkaitan dengan bat nikah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa <em>itsbat nikah</em> memiliki dasar hukum yang kuat dalam sistem hukum Indonesia, khususnya dalam Undang-Undang Perkawinan dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam. Dalam praktiknya, bat nikah disajikan dalam berbagai kondisi, seperti perkawinan yang tidak tercatat, kebutuhan administrasi, serta kondisi tertentu yang melatarbelakanginya. Dari sudut pandang hukum Islam, perkawinan dinyatakan sah apabila telah memenuhi rukun dan syarat, namun pencatatan tetap diperlukan untuk menjamin perlindungan hukum.
